The state between readings
A signal carries its last condition forward; a recovery guard needs something left outside the restored history.
The last condition is part of this one
The previous reading is still here begins with an apparently simple change: a new condition no longer produces its final value immediately. Half the old reading survives each update. A sequence that removed several powers of time now produces a convincing interaction even though the constructed target contains none.
That makes the transition part of the question. The next electrical design needs to ask what the signal was doing before the reading, how long the new condition was held and what reset actually changed. Waiting is an experimental choice with a history, rather than an empty interval.
A history that stays elsewhere
A generation outside the restored file makes a complementary demand of Lumen recovery. One stored history can reveal that another has been restored only while it survives the same event. The two local files demonstrate partial recovery and its interruption; their joint restoration keeps the unresolved failure in view.
The strip bench takes a different route. A place for the reference records an actual reply and an appointment to inspect the geometry. The next useful information will come from the intended observation lines and supporting records, not another assumption about what a borrowed instrument ought to cover.
Keep the machines in view
These are distinct obstacles on the way to material testing, lunar communication and the speculative amplifier. Their connection is a useful research habit: follow what carries over when a condition changes. It is not a finding that the three programs share a mechanism. The January 18 exchange leaves concrete tasks with each team.
