The operator of meridianrc.org is responsible for the website practices described here. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@meridianrc.org. Please do not send sensitive personal information or identity documents in an initial request.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand page use and improve the website. The Google tag loads only after you choose “Accept analytics.” Declining, dismissing the choice, or browsing with JavaScript disabled leaves it unloaded. You can change your choice using “Analytics settings” in the footer.

If you accept, Google may process first-party cookie identifiers, page views and interactions, browser and device information, referral information and approximate location. Google processes IP addresses during collection; Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses. Analytics is not anonymous simply because IP addresses are not stored.

Our tag disables Google signals and advertising personalization signals. It sends page URLs without query strings or fragments and reduces the initial referrer to its origin. We do not ask visitors to provide names or email addresses to Analytics. Please avoid including personal information in page URLs.

Cookies and browser preferences

With your permission, Analytics can set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. We store your analytics choice and the time of that choice in this browser’s local storage for up to 180 days, so you do not need to answer on every page. This preference does not identify you by name and is not sent to Google by our consent control.

Declining stops our Analytics collection and attempts to remove its first-party cookies on this domain. Withdrawal does not erase data already collected. Browser settings let you delete cookies and local storage or block them; deleting the preference will cause the choice to appear again. Choices are specific to each browser and device. If local storage is unavailable, your choice may last only for the current page.

Hosting and security

Cloudflare serves and protects the website. Delivering pages requires processing technical request information, which can include IP address, requested URL, browser headers, timestamps and response status. Hosting, security and diagnostic services may retain logs or aggregate request metrics. The website’s hosting configuration enables Cloudflare observability; actual log availability and retention depend on the service and account configuration.

Essential hosting and security processing is separate from optional Google Analytics and continues when you decline Analytics. Cloudflare may use security cookies when relevant protection features are enabled. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy and its cookie documentation.

Messages and external links

If you email us, we receive the information you send and use it to respond and handle your request. Email services also process message and delivery information. The website has no account registration, contact forms, payments, advertising tags or embedded third-party media. Images, styles and fonts used by the site are served locally or provided by your device.

Pages link to independent research sources and other external websites. Opening a link subjects your visit to that site’s practices; it may receive referral information from your browser. We do not control those sites.

Use, sharing and retention

We use visitor information to operate and secure the site, understand readership when you consent, and respond to messages. We do not sell personal information or use this site for targeted advertising. Service providers such as Google, Cloudflare and email providers process information to deliver their services; information may also be disclosed when required by law.

Analytics user and event retention is governed by the property’s configured retention settings; aggregate reports may be retained separately. Hosting logs follow Cloudflare’s service and account settings. We retain correspondence as needed to answer requests and maintain necessary records. We do not promise a fixed provider retention period that this website cannot independently enforce.

Your choices and requests

You may decline or withdraw Analytics consent at any time without losing access to the site. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict or object to processing, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact contact@meridianrc.org to make a request. We may need limited information to verify or locate a request; Analytics cookie records may not be identifiable from your name or email alone.

Google, Cloudflare and email providers may process information outside your country under their applicable terms and transfer safeguards. The site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information that should be removed.

Policy changes

We will update this page and its last-updated date when website practices change. A change to the scope of optional analytics will require a renewed choice.
