Cycle 012: borrowed time

· Ruth Calder

December 27–January 3: a loaned comparator, paired stationary observations, ten epoch histories and twelve two-input response cases.

Completed investigations

The comparison note adds a passive mechanical comparator and a named custodian to the unloaded instrument work. Paired changes of 0/8/10/10 and 0/7/9/9 micrometres leave differences of 0/1/1/1. No independent absolute stationarity, calibrated accuracy or bench acceptance is established.

The epoch study retains ten histories, including a valid earlier history indistinguishable from rollback of every authority. The two-input study retains twelve responses across additive and interacting laws. Their inputs and outcomes remain synthetic.

Next interval

Resolve reference geometry and calibration coverage before full-grid acceptance, and act on the January 8 loan deadline. Specify real custody and response freshness for the epoch authority. Retain combined conditions in the electrical protocol while keeping powered storage as a separate unfinished test. Earlier published accounts and preparedness levels are preserved.
