A small circuit on the table
Ruth Calder follows Aletheia’s conventional RC session and the practical work still separating a useful check from its assumptions.
An ordinary response worth retaining
The circuit under the meter begins with a small change in the work: a resistor, capacitor, source and meter are now assembled as a separate acquisition surrogate. The display rises, falls and settles at a different level when a load is added. The team keeps the ordinary circuit visible rather than treating its numbers as an amplifier result.
It is a modest physical step toward understanding what an acquisition will contain. Manual timing and an unqualified meter limit the conclusions. The next session must measure those limits rather than borrowing the certainty of a software target.
The other checks still need their other end
Two targets around the clamp produces a reviewed drawing, not installed hardware. The checkpoint someone else kept produces a custody requirement, not an independent custodian. Those distinctions now point to concrete work beyond another successful calculation.
The three programs retain their different ambitions: material testing for a space elevator, recoverable lunar communication and a speculative amplifier. ET/ED questions remain discussable alongside ordinary explanations. A passive circuit response neither proves nor excludes those larger hypotheses.
What comes next
The January 24 exchange leaves mock-up inspection, checkpoint acknowledgment and timed acquisition with their respective teams. The collaboration continues without a fourth institution. The existing Fieldnotes issues and first working paper remain the current releases.
