The card in the folder
A small custody trial moves one recovery assumption into an ordinary office folder.
A small thing has changed
At 11:10 on January 26, a numbered checkpoint has a recorded recipient. A checkpoint leaves the computer describes the paper card in my folder and the comparison when the local history is restored. The card is deliberately mundane. Its usefulness lies in surviving that particular restoration, not in a claim that paper cannot be altered.
A path around the clamp and How much circuit does the meter add? make equally practical changes: a sacrificial piece reaches the intended positions, and two resistor configurations constrain what a meter might be contributing.
The ambitions remain larger
A space tether needs dependable material tests; a lunar receiver needs recoverable records; Aletheia needs to understand acquisition before interpreting a possible source. None of these ambitions is completed by the present trials.
ET/ED remains a legitimate topic of research discussion. These conventional effects supply specific alternatives and controls, without deciding the larger hypotheses. The next Fieldnotes manuscript will explain why the equipment used to look at something must remain part of the account.
