The request that must not draw twice
Interrupted acquisition distinguishes replaying a retained symbol from issuing a second draw or restoring an old permission.
A lost acknowledgement
Aletheia proposes a symbol-acquisition harness before any participant or implant study. If a draw is committed and the acknowledgement is lost, retrying the request must not silently select a new symbol. The independent checkpoint study left origin and authority questions unresolved; this study adds interruption to the request path.
The authored request uses a stable identifier and a request-content binding. A retained commit associates it with symbol-3. Retrying that same request returns symbol-3, rather than invoking another draw. If the journal records only a pending request, the harness holds: it cannot tell whether a draw occurred outside the retained acknowledgement.
Recovery preserves adverse states
Eight cases include a reused identifier bound to different request content, two conflicting committed symbols, a missing journal, a withdrawal and contradictory authority notices. None is repaired by generating a replacement draw. A retained symbol may be replayed as a record while its use remains withheld, unknown or disputed.
The notice model assumes supplied authority inputs; it does not verify signatures or define a real resolution authority. Opposing allowed and withdrawn assertions remain disputed in either arrival order. No restart changes that policy, and the current study does not resolve the earlier authenticated-correction conflict.
The missing tail
The final case silently removes a second draw and a withdrawal before review. The remaining journal and notice list are byte-for-byte equivalent as inputs to the favorable retry case. Both produce the same replay decision. This is a retained failure, not an exactly-once guarantee: the model has no external witness from which to recover the missing tail.
Next work must establish the durable commit boundary, independent tap origin and how authority coverage is recovered after an outage. The fixture has no entropy hardware, neural measurement, participant, implant or exogenous observation. A reliable request replay would still be only one part of an acquisition system.
